I bought these to replace the rear shocks in a 2007 Ford Focus. I was disappointed to open the box to find that there were no new bushings or round retainers for the bushings - something that every other manufacturer includes with their shocks, but not KYB. I thought that this might've been an oversight so I contacted KYB support directly. It took quite a number of emails to get my question addressed. Even though I kept giving them the part number that's listed on the Amazon page for this item, they nonetheless kept saying the part # didn't exist in their catalog. Then finally they responded with the correct part number - which was the SAME PART NUMBER that I'd given them. Nonetheless, for all my troubles all I learned is that KYB does not supply new bushings and retainers with their products. I guess they feel their products are so superior that the market (i.e. their customers) will accept their 'take it or leave it' attitude on this issue. So in the final analysis I decided to leave it - I returned them and bought Monroe shocks instead which came with all the new hardware and would cost me a good $15 less.If I pay for top quality then I expect top quality - and top service. I didn't perceive that I was getting either with this product - hence the 2 star review. I didn't feel it fair to give it a one-star rating, but I certainly didn't think it deserved or earned anything above a 2 star rating either. KYB may be a premium brand but their policies don't reflect that. Personally, I'd have gladly paid a few extra dollars more for the convenience of having the new, necessary bushings and retainers in the box along with the shocks themselves. In other words, I wanted one-stop shopping - and this particular KYB product did not provide that for me.
