cuts woodWorks excellentI already own a 18” Husqvarna 460 Rancher (which is amazing), but I saw this 24” 460 Rancher on AMZ Warehouse deals for a steal & couldn’t pass it up - it ended up being brand new!! ????The 24” Rancher is a beast & I cut this yuge ash easily. Like cutting through warm butter. I cut off six logs & took the picture right before I tightened the chain.I never really needed two gas saws (I have an electric too) - I only cut for firewood in the winter, but we have been getting hammered with storms & after I dropped off my 18” Rancher to the local authorized Husqvarna dealer it was a 2 month wait for service. So figured I could use this if one needs service.P.S. As of winter 2021 this saw retails for $539 on Amazon & has been going in/out of stock. Don’t pay the 3rd party price of $1200, Wait for Amazon to have it back in stock.I needed to upgrade from the 435 with a 16” bar and this looked to be just the thing. It certainly was! I’ve processed around 30 tree trunks with it since getting it a month ago and it works better than my 435 ever did. Starting it up is very easy and it’s ready to run fast. There’s no messing around and letting it warm up for 5+ minutes to get it running. It chews through logs with ease, even the 60” oak that we’ve been working on. It takes multiple passes, but it barely slows the saw down with the Forester full chisel chain on it. If you need a good homeowner saw, this is the one.I ordered the version with the 24" bar. The longer and heavier bar does balance the saw well but even with how much horsepower this thing has it doesn't have quiet enough grunt to putt a 24" bar on larger trees.I decided to also order an 18" bar and chain. Oh man.. Now you have a hot rod. Anything within the bar length will fall to the wayside in short order. My only caveat with this configuration is now the saw is a little tail heavy which will work your back handle hand more.I'm considering ordering a 20" bar. Based on my experience with both the 24" and the 18" bars the 20" should be just the right combination of weight/balance and power.Everything was as advertised. Worked like a charm!! This is the second one that I purchased within one month. I had to because the first one I ran over with the tractor. But I was so impressed with the first one that I had to get another one.So I just got this saw today. 4-23. As some other reviews it is NOT the same pictured. The saw pictured is a 2020 saw. I got a 2019 saw. To be honest and I did my homework the 3 differences are quick caps on gas and bar oil, and quick release on filter and plug cover. I was hoping for a 2020 saw as in the picture (I'll contact the seller for sure). Assembly was quick and easy if you are familiar with how a chainsaw works. Power and cutting speed are amazing. You really won't be disappointed other than the 3 upgrades mentioned.It's a bit unwieldy for all but the strongest 3rd grader's, but the look is definitely what the drama director wanted for their interpretation of "Texas Chainsaw LoveFest". Its an avant garde reissue of the B-movie of a similar name, except the chainsaw is highly regarded as the village icon that spreads love and goodwill every where its taken. Kind of like an anthropomorphization of defeated kinder-angst. The play was a hit and I'm thinking of opening a chain-saw academy for elementary school age kids. It's that easy to use.BTW Made in China home of all technical advances in chainsaw technology. Slap a formerly respected brand name on it and don’t disclose this fact and schlep it on amazon.
