We use Stainless Steel for our P38 Can Openers so they will not rust and have excellent durability. They are dishwasher safe and will open normal sized food cans. The hole in the opener will fit a 2.4mm ball chain or a split ring key chain. Just like issued in the US military. How to use your P38 Can Opener PIERCE CAN LID - Place the notch of the P-38 on the rim of the can with the blade inside the rim and puncture the lid of the can TURN AND TWIST - Twist the P-38 up and down while turning the can KEEP GOING - Repeat twisting while turning the can LID IS SHARP - Be careful removing the lid. The lid will be sharp Wash it after every use! It's ok if it touches water and soap! Remember, our P-38 openers are made from Stainless Steel and won't rust!

Exactly as advertised and as I expected. I only gave this product three stars for "easy to use" because, face it - it IS a P-38, and not a countertop electric can opener!These little gems were designed to perform a needed function - opening cans (and occasionally serving as a screwdriver or fingernail cleaner), while being extremely small yet durable And it does these things well. I mentioned "durable" - I've carried the same one on my key ring for over fifty years, and it still functions perfectly.For many years I've tried to keep two or three loose in a pocket, handy for "spot" rewards when on Boy Scout outings. And fun to occasionally hand to some older gentleman wearing a "Veteran" ball cap - always brings a smile.I need to order more!
